Anyone familiar with the Grand Luxxe Junior Suite DeLuxxe?

I’m considering buying a resale Vidanta membership for a “Grand Luxxe Junior Suite DeLuxxe”. The owner sent me the floor plan, but I can’t find almost any information about this unit on Vidanta’s website or online.

Has anyone owned, stayed in, or seen one of these units?

I’m mainly trying to understand:
- where these units exist,
- what they exchange into,
- and how they compare to a 1BR Suite

Any info would really help. Thanks!

Have you checked into the Vidanta transfer fees for a resell? Previously they charged a fee equal to several years of Maintenance Fees.

Vidanta Grand Luxxe contracts are for multiple 10 year contracts renewal as T-Dot wrote with a transfer fee cost as well. You should definitely find out how many years are left before the renewal fee. By your original question above, you may already to aware of these things (?).

After reading and researching the above information. There is something else to consider. If you are "buying," are you paying money for it? If yes have you compared a direct purchase from Vidanta.

That looks like the lock off on a two bed Grand Luxxe unit. It's definitely nice with a private area with a sofa & tv plus deck. The tub is huge. The bedroom has a deck too. Its about the same as a one bed at other resorts.

I would disagree on the deck part. The DeLuxxe units "deck" is like what, 2 feet wide? Like a cruise ship balcony. Regular Grand Luxxe units are a totally different beast. Remember the DeLuxxe units were old Mayan Palace units where they just refurbished the insides.
Although some folks may not like a useable deck (ie: they just don't ever use it).

It does say on the right-hand side: Junior Suite DeLuxxe

I cannot recall Vidanta multiple terms (Junior Suite vs. 1 BR vs. "studio" vs "master bedroom)). I *thought* the Junior Suite was basically the "studio" and the "Master Bedroom" the 1 BR, but I may have that reversed.

Vidanta's actual website does NOT list a Junior Suite Deluxxe. They DO list a One Bedroom Deluxxe although the floor plan for it, clearly shows a 2 BR unit. My GUESS is that the 1 BR is the top two portions of the floor plan (on Vidanta's site) and that the "bottom" portion is the Junior Suite.

AFAIK, Nuevo Vallarta does NOT have Deluxxe units. Only Riviera Maya.

Additionally, I played golf with a guy last time we were down there who was staying at the Deluxxe. He said it wasn't very deluxe and regretted buying it.

“DeLuxxe at the Grand Mayan” does exist in NV and is located on the upper floors of the Grand Mayan buildings. It is a different brand from Grand Luxxe. According to Vidanta’s website, there are three accommodation types:
- Junior Suite
- 1BR Suite
- 2BR Suite

However, this particular unit — the one I attached the floor plan for — was sold as a “Junior Suite DeLuxxe” within the “Grand Luxxe Residence Club,” and it is very different from the current “1BR DeLuxxe” at Grand Luxxe Riviera Maya, since the floor plans do not match.

In fact, the floor plan does not match that unit or any other unit currently offered within Grand Luxxe in either NV or RM.

So go figure

Thank you! (Not oppositional at all, BTW). I didn't know they had converted the NV units. I've only ever had someone stay in the Deluxxe ones at Riviera Maya.

They did the top one or two floors of at least one GM buildings in NV about 2 years ago. I knew they were called Deluxxe, but was not the least bit interested. I prefer my Grand Luxxe 2-bedroom units.

I do sometimes book Grand Bliss, Grand Mayan or the Mayan Palace Marina. This year, I took my 2 daughters-in-law to a 2-bedroom Grand Luxxe in NV, then friends to Grand Mayan 2-bdroom in Cabo San Jose, and have made a reservation for just me at the Mayan Palace Marina location in Puerto Vallarta in a 1-bedroom. I gave the 1-bedroom Grand Bliss serious consideration, but the small MP with restaurants all around the Marina works well. I will then go to the Buganvilias for my last two weeks there with family. I am letting that contract expire at the end of December.

I will just have 2 two-bedroom Grand Luxxe weeks from 2027-2033. But I can stretch 2 those weeks into 4 by using lower levels if we want to go somewhere other than NV and RM. Whenever they finish the GL in Acapulco, we may try that one. It is a great resort that is not too big and has an awesome beach.
