Anyone ever use Gofly.com?

Has anyone ever used Gofly.com for airline reservations and are they O.K.?
I had never heard of them until my daughter told me about them. They have
really good flights for us to fly Monterey Ca. to Memphis for our granddaughters
wedding, but I'm a little leary because it's such a good deal....
Anyone had any good/bad experience with them?

I don't know anything about them, but I can tell you from my recent experience with Travelocity, I will never use an on-line travel site again. I will only book directly with airlines- a lot of "Bait and Switch" going on. Things have changed from years ago. I always used Travelocity, etc., but no more! Read all the fine print if you decide to book with Gofly - like their refund policies; the availability of other flights should the airline cancel your itinerary, etc. I am trying to recover $3500.00 from Travelocity for an itinerary that the airline cancelled - not me! Long story, but suffice it to say - scrutinize everything!

Online agencies are useful for comparing prices between airlines, becuz it may surprise you which airline, combination of airlines or code-shared flights, offer the best deal. Sometimes thay can find an obscure route which no single airline would show, and if I had a particularly complex itinerrary, booking thru a single source makes tracking flight changes a little easier.

That said, I am not familiar with this particular agency, and examining their "about" and customer service pages could prove useful. Get the details of the flights to make sure the flight times and layovers are doable. I would also check with a more established site, like Expedia, to see if the itinerrary can be duplicated.

We live very close (10 miles) to the Monterey airport, about 60 miles
to San Jose and 90 miles to San Francisco so it's great when we can
fly out of our little airport, but it is usualy quite a bit more expensive
so we usually make the drive to S.J. or S.F. In this case United flies
out of Monterey for about $50 cheaper than it flies out of S.J. or S.F.
so that would be so convenient and save us $100. I have time to do
more research, tho as we aren't going until April.
The one connection is good, too. But being able to fly out of Monterey
is really the biggest plus! Makes it so much easier for one of our kids
to take and pick up. I'll see what more I can find out. Hope to hear
from someone who has used them. We have used Travelocity
sometimes but I have found out that very often when I see a flight on
Travelocity, I can find the same flight and price right on the airlines
regular site,so I book of the airline site. But never had trouble when
we booked travelocity. We only travel in the stated tho.
Not complicated long distance flights tho so that may make a difference.

Look up the rate with them then call the airline(s) involved and book directly. Sometimes if it seems too good to be true, it is. Some other discount travel sites sort of 'forget' to include taxes, 9-11 fees and other little necessities in their posted prices. I want an all-in price.

I've already checked with United and they are $100ea !!!!! more to fly
out of Monterey ($200 for two) and $50ea more to fly out of San Jose
or San Francisco ($100 for two). Gofly stated their rate as"including all taxes"!
But I'm not booking now until I find out more about Gofly.
I know I really need to check more. I seem to remember that there is
a website called "flyer talk" or something like that. Maybe I can find
out something there?
