Anyone Ever See May Weeks at Marco Island in Flexchange

We have a confirmed II exchange for Ocean Pointe for next May (Memorial Day week). We are also planing on going to Palm Beach in November, so we are interesting in trying to snag a reexchange in to Marco Island inside flexchange. This would make it so we aren't going to the same area twice i the same year.

Of course it is a semi popular week being Memorial week, so we aren't getting our hopes up. Obviously Marco has a small number of units and most of the units are in the trust.

Has anyone ever seen Marco pop up in flexchange? What about May weeks? Any idea on what our chances would be? I looked back through the sightings board to see what popped up last year, and there were a few weeks. I know I would have to be monotonous and clicking the search button in II at least every ten minutes. We won't have to start looking until March.

Yes, I have seen Crystal Shores pop up during Flexchange. A quick search of the a sightings board showed about 7 sightings of May 2011 weeks during Flexchange including a 3 bedroom. When the time comes, post a sighting request. I'm certain fellow Tuggers will assist with the search.

There's also a couple of Hiltons there if you're inclined to stay there. There's also one of the best Marriott hotels in the system if you want to use MRP's. They are all on the beach.

I've seen a few May weeks at Crystal Shores pop up during Flex with my Starwood week and not 2 days before check in. Usually early/mid month.

Thanks for the insight. We will start watching for flexchange trades starting in March. Will also post a sightings request at that time too. We won't be broken hearted if it doesn't work out as we still have the week in West Palm Beach. Also if it does come through hopefully there will be some point based availability at some of the other resorts were were using points for. We have a few days tacked on to our current trip and if we were to get Marco, it would mean a slight change of plans there.

Currently we have an exchange with in to Ocean Pointe using our Harbour Lake studio unit. We also have an open deposited Grande Vista studio unit in II that we will be using to search.

If we end up seeing Marco in flexchange with the Grande Vista studio, could we confirm the exchange with that and then call II w (within the 24 hours) and have them cancel that exchange to re-exchange with the Ocean Pointe studio? Has anyone done this type of scenario before with II, confirming with one deposit to hold the week and then getting II to cancel it and match the exchange with another? This would free up the Grande Vista studio and prevent us from not having a cancellation week in our account.
