Just wondering as there is a news feed page and stories I see have started disappearing when I'm reading what they have posted . They just are no longer there. This just started happening yesterday. I don't do much FB but do read things that show up from pages I follow. One today was on two climbers on Mt Everest are feared dead... just gone before I could click on it to read more.

Facebook is infuriating with it's constant sponsored ads and spammy news feed that refreshes for no apparent reason.

I would recommend news dot Google dot com as a better aggregate of News stories from multiple sources. If you search for Everest there are several stories about the accidents this climbing season.

FB eliminated the news feed. They didnt want to spend money/pay for the rights.

At my DD's request I set up a FB account over 15 years ago as a way to keep in touch with family and post photos from our trips. I have also found it it a great way to keep in touch with old friends and former co-workers and way less intrusive than a phone call. The thing that really bugs me about FB is that they stopped the ability to show posts in chronological order ('most recent' was the sort heading) but at least I can click on 'Feeds' then 'friends' and just see their stuff and not the posts from various groups and clubs we belong to.

I never got my news off FB as I just go to the various newspaper or news source websites and read it there. The Canadian govt has blocked the sharing of any news stories on FB anyways so we are all pretty much in the same boat.

I have also noticed some things disappearing from FB when I try to go back to read it. The other weird thing is that I can have FB open on my desktop computer and then open the FB website (I dont do apps if I can help it) on my phone right at the computer desk, and I will see different things. My DD didnt believe me until I showed her and then she had to try it when she got home and had the same result.
