DH and I are thinking of driving up in next few days. Was wondering if anyone has been that could advise is it worth the trip from Pompano Beach.

Anyone Been to West Palm Beach Zoo

Palm Beach Zoo
The Palm Beach Zoo is a small zoo, but it is nicely laid out and is a nice "easy" day trip especially from Pompano. You can usually find BOGO admission tickets online or in entertainment books. If you feel like traveling a little farther west, we really like Lion Country Safari too.
We live in the area so we usually visit the places when the younger relatives visit. We also recently went to Miami Sea Aquarium. That was an easy drive and a fun day.
