We will be there in mid-January and I am trying to find out what buildings/rooms are best to request. We will have a One BR unit. I tried a search on the subject and the newest thread is from 2006.

Any advice offered is helpful and appreciated!

One Bedroom

I will be there starting this Saturday (in a one bedroom). I'll scope out the place for you (I was there last October and the important issue then was to be placed far away from the construction - no longer an issue).

I would think part of the answer to your question is whether you want to face the pool / gondola / or the front street(which would be noisy).

The most recent review is from Nov. 2008 - TUG Reviews There are 4 or 5 more for 2008 and 4 or 5 from 2007, as well as older ones.

I think I would prefer to be near the back of the resort, which is quieter. The resort is right in the middle of the Tahoe strip, so it can be noisy.

For lots of info. about what to do in Tahoe, click on the link to my travel page under my name, and then click on my Tahoe Travel Trips page.

We were there in the summer and had a room in the newest section that overlooked the pool area, and that was a great location. It sits far enough back from the street that you don't hear any noise when you're in the pool area and our room was very quiet. I think we were on the 3rd floor - I've been told that the ceilings are lower on the top floor so you might want to avoid that. It's a great resort.

Thanks guys. Denise I have checked out your Tahoe page...it is very helpful. Robert I was thinking of asking for an upper floor, thanks for the info on the low ceilings on the top floor. How many floors does each building have? Lawlar please let me know how your week goes!

Do not ask for the upper floor. We stayed there and were considering buying. The top floor has a lot of strange angles to accomodate the roof design. We found it very dark and depressing. :bawl: It looked at over the pool and was very noisy (summer time). It seemed more cramped to us than a motel room.
We saw some other rooms and they did not have the same 'feel'
