We will be in Sedona, from 4/13/22 through 4/17/22.

Any recommendations for fun things to do, discounts or other tips?

Thanks!

Son Silver (known to us as “Cheap Chicken” because of the huge metal chicken out front) is a fun place to stop and shop. Lots of nooks and crannies full of baskets, rugs, trinkets and pottery. Nice way to spend an hour. For years we never knew the actual name of the store. They only have a small amount of jewelry, so don’t know why it is called Son Silver

Nick’s on the West Side Restaurant We went there twice . Very good !

We downloaded hiking, biking and 4x4 trail maps that were useful. We decided to go to the vortex areas out of curiosity. We brought our ebikes and rode a few easy trails. We saw the heart shadow on Thunder Mountain from Sedona Summit Resort. The Chapel of the Holy Cross is a vortex site and interesting. Hiking the hills along the Red Rocks near town we ended up finding the Buddhist Peace Park which was interesting. Schenbley Hill was easy but slow in our suv.

The little town of Jerome is worth a stop. There are interesting Native ruins near Flagstaff. The Grand Canyon is within driving distance.

We drove out through Oak Creek Canyon to the town of Williams, ( on Route 66 ), then rode the Grand Canyon Railway up to the South Rim ~ what a Spectacular Day!!!

On our last Sedona visit, we thought that lunch at The Hudson was a treat. We went around 2PM or shortly after, which meant that the lunch crowd had thinned and it was too early for dinner, so we got a wonderful table on their balcony with a great view.

The Hudson was about $20-30 more expensive (for 2 of us) than most Sedona restaurants. But frankly, we are finding these days that most restaurants have gotten very costly. For that extra $20-30, we felt that The Hudson was significantly better than other places we ate.

All Trailhead parking lots fill fast. Start early in the morning to get the spot.

We enjoy going wine tasting west of town around Clarkdale. There are eight so, do four one day and four the next. (My wife and I share so we're really only getting two tastings apiece). There are also other wine tasting rooms - - just google them.

There are a lot of good restaurants around. We especially enjoy Rene's at Tlaquepaque.

The Enchantment resort west of town by Boyton Canyon is nice for lunch. Beautiful views.

Hiking: Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte, Airport Loop, Broken Arrow trail, Chapel Trail, Teapot Rock.....

Wineaux Wednesdays at Sound Bites Grille, live music, $20 wine tasting, and yummy appetizers.

We really enjoyed Berry Divine after a long hike. Lots of special treats. They also have several locations in the Phoenix area.

We did a Segway tour that was fun. Get discount info at the travel information office in town.
