Any Room Tips for Wyndham Kona Hawaiian?

Checking in on April 17. I'd like to call to put in a special request for at least a 2nd floor room, away from pool (noise). Would love a nice unobstructed view of the ocean. Anyone have a specific room suggestion or tips for checking in?

Also, are they doing timeshare presentations and do they offer any freebies for attending?

The ocean is on the other side of the road and houses/ trees block every unit from seeing the ocean. It's not a place to try for ocean views. Sea Cliffs, Kona Coast, those resorts have some views.

Following up on this thread. A very nice, minor obstruction, view of the ocean! Unit 63A

As a follow up though, I will save your 'very nice' view of the ocean and refer the numerous poster's who complain about their 'horrible ocean view' unit assignment to your posting and pic.

As others note - it is all about the 'expectation'

Stay away from the laundry facility by the upper pool - motorized golf carts going back & forth continuously and noisy.

...and if I had moved the table on the lanai to the right... it would be even less "obstruction" ! I think unit 63A is a goodin' !

Yes, most restaurants open. Resort was so-so. Nice room, but didn't receive activity sheet at check in and had no idea they had some on-site events while we were there.
