Any recent 2015 stays in Woodstone (Massanutten)

I have been reading reviews and old posts about Woodstone and wondering if anyone has stayed in 2015 that can give some insight on how the units were. Have they been updated recently?

Woodstone is difficult because there are 3 sections: Deluxe, Luxury, and Casa. Luxury has around 1000 two bedroom units. It is the largest HOA at Massanutten and when they refurbish it takes about 2 years to get through all the units.

That said I stayed in 2014 in an un refurbished Woodstone Luxury and in March 2015 stayed in one that was refurbished. I don't know if they are all done. I own in Deluxe and haven't stayed in one of those since 2013 and at that time it had been refurbished. The main difference was the flat screen tv's and newer looking carpet.

If your check in day is Friday for a sleeps 6 or 12, you are in Woodstone Luxury unit. If you have a sleeps 4 or 8, you have a Casa unit, which I have a stay scheduled for September but have never stayed in one. Saturday and Sunday could be Deluxe or Luxury but since there are 3 times the number of Luxury units it is more likely to be one of those.

Thank you so much!! The unit I have on hold is a 2 bedroom that sleeps 6 with a Saturday check in. Is a luxury unit one you can request or is it just random luck what you will get?

You can't request it ahead of time but you can ask when checking in which type you have and asked to be switched if you don't like what you were assigned. If you are going in the fall they should have several dozen if not hundreds of empty units.
