I'm considering purchasing a red week at Land of Canaan because they offer $79/night rental for owner which I want to do for ski months. Are there any black-out dates to book additional nights? How far advance can I book? What do you think of the ownership there? TIA.

I own a week 7 there, never been in the winter though. It's nice in the summer and fall. Definitely worth owning if you get out there regularly to ski. It's inexpensive, locally managed, and units are big. Not sure what kind of availability you'll find on good ski weekends, but I suspect there is some.

Have you ever use their bonus time? Is it straightforward?

I've used RCI points when they are in the "last call" type of last minute deal that uses about $75 worth of points and a $300 exchange fee. So less than $400 for the week. I've only been there in the winter to ski and it is close to the ski area, I could see the trails when I looked out the back door. The units are older, with only one bathroom upstairs that is shared by the two bedrooms. There is another bathroom downstairs in the back door entry area.
There is not much to do in Davis but the state park nearby is scenic. I didn't see as much inventory this past winter as previously.
