I am a Marriott timeshare owner and heading to the Midwest. Has anyone stayed at Village of Izatys? If so, what's your review?

I am an "ex-pat" from Mn. I've stayed there once several years ago. It is an older timeshare. I don't know whether or not it has been maintained or not. Best to check Tug reviews and/or tripadvisor.

It is located right on Lake Mille Lacs. I think that you can rent fishing boats and sailboats. Mille Lacs is a large lake so it can get rough if a storm comes in. It also is known for walleye fish. They taste great and you can order them in area restaurants. White meat, not fishy, flaky meat. There is an Indian casino not too far away. Plus a variety of local restaurants within a 20 minute drive.

You didn't mention when you will be traveling there. Weather can be an issue in the fall and winter. Summers are nice but it can get hot and humid. Also there can be summer storms. If going in the summer, buy a can of Deep Woods Off with DEET (a mosquito repellent) - - it works pretty well. I like the spray so that I can spray my shirt and hat.

Going at end of August. No idea if there's AC but I assume so. There are no pictures anywhere of the resort, including on their website. Sounds like a bit of a crap shoot.

II site https://www.intervalworld.com/web/c...ortCode=VIZ&parentResortCode=VIZ#.YlH3NsjMJaQ indicates AC in all units. Take a look at https://www.facebook.com/The-Village-at-Izatys-Resort-344661705928/photos/?ref=page_internal and see if that helps any for pictures although it's hard to tell what picture goes with what type of unit and it appears the units can vary from very large stand alone to a regular size in a townhouse. Opps, looks like the pics are of the A1 and A2 units only. https://thevillageatizatysresort.com/ has the layout (not photos) of each unit style (A1, A2, B, C, D&E, F). The google reviews at Google reviews of Village at Izatysalso have a few pics of the townhome parts I think

Also take a look at google maps satellite view although again it is hard to tell what units are what (as the street view is really old and doesn't get into the resort) and what part is https://www.google.com/maps/place/8...1f8ab63309f53f!8m2!3d46.1265497!4d-93.5864794

I'm also curious about this resort as I've considered possibly exchanging into it from time to time. TUG reviews are fairly old but maybe one of the owners that posted a review can help.

Thanks everyone. I have viewed the site and spoken with the manager. Still not lots of reviews of this site though.
