I am an "ex-pat" from Mn. I've stayed there once several years ago. It is an older timeshare. I don't know whether or not it has been maintained or not. Best to check Tug reviews and/or tripadvisor.
It is located right on Lake Mille Lacs. I think that you can rent fishing boats and sailboats. Mille Lacs is a large lake so it can get rough if a storm comes in. It also is known for walleye fish. They taste great and you can order them in area restaurants. White meat, not fishy, flaky meat. There is an Indian casino not too far away. Plus a variety of local restaurants within a 20 minute drive.
You didn't mention when you will be traveling there. Weather can be an issue in the fall and winter. Summers are nice but it can get hot and humid. Also there can be summer storms. If going in the summer, buy a can of Deep Woods Off with DEET (a mosquito repellent) - - it works pretty well. I like the spray so that I can spray my shirt and hat.
