My first time here. Does anyone have any experience in dealing with "Resort Owner Services" or "Timeshare Traveler"? We are looking to sell our timeshare and these two companies have recently called us. Thank you.

Hi and welcome to TUG!

There is a basic rule of thumb with timeshare business offers:

Never, ever pay an upfront fee - no matter what they call it!

REPUTABLE brokers always charge commission AFTER the sale, out of the PROCEEDS.

Companies that cold call you are just trying to get you to give them money. They will promise you a large payout for your timeshare and then ask for money for marketing, closing costs, legal fees, taxes or some such. This is a scam. They will not sell your timeshare. They will take your money and that is the last you will hear from them. There have been literally hundreds of groups running this scam over the years. One tactic they frequently use is to claim that they have a buyer or that they market to large corporations. Don't fall for it.

Thank you so much for your response. I will heed your advise. I had a feeling all of these offers were scams. Is there any way you can suggest the best way to sell our timeshare? Thank you.
