With experience renting out some of their weeks? We are new members with a lot of weeks. I'd appreciate some advice on how to market them.

Please note that on TUG you can only advertise rentals in the Marketplace or the Last Minute Timeshare Rentals - not the discussion forums. However, right now is a tough time to break into the rental market because of all the big changes taking place in our country.

What is an epic traveler? If you've been snookered by a sly salesperson into believing that renting what you just bought is going to make you some cash, remember who is making a commission off of your naïveté.
 
Be aware that if you are in a points system and use some of your points to book a place through RCI (or II) to then rent out, you are violating the terms and agreements with RCI. Doing so can get the reservation canceled and possibly your membership revoked.

You can rent your personal weeks but you can’t rent an exchange by RCI. You can list your owned weeks in Exchange section of Marketplace.we have done many exchanges thru Tug and rentals too. I feel this is the safest place to exchange rent or buy a timeshare. Follow the advice on TUG!

I dont see the fives on tug or redweeek... since its smaller and different than HGV and others, I'm kinda lost lol

Suggest you search for the actual name of the resort where your reservation will be made. That should turn up results. It seems "the fives" would be the name of the vacation club, not the resort.

Its newer so it doesnt show up at all sites. We were there 5 years ago and did the presentation but we werent sold. I did lock in the price and bennies for 5 years for a little money which was also credit for our second trip. Our account number was 0000015 lol.

A few months ago we go back and well the price tripled. Benefits are great and they are flexible with dates and unlimited weeks that we can use. We travel a lot so it made a bit more sense than 5 years ago
