Big fan, the first Delbert McClinton album I bought was
Genuine Cowhide back in the mid '70s. You are going to LOVE that cruise!
What I like is that he's grown, but he hasn't changed. He still kicks butt, and the songs still resonate.
I'm going to make a recommendation to McClinton fans. If you haven't tuned into the late Gary Stewart, do so. Do it as soon as you can. Find
Out of Hand, and when you're done with that, look for
Your Place or Mine. There was never a more genuine honky tonk artist, ever. Jimmy McDonough wrote a eulogy,
"Little Junior, King of the Honky Tonks", and even if you're not a fan it's a great piece of writing and worth the time.
