Can a timeshare be used for hotel bookings withvMarriott?

thanks

Marriott TS's can be redeemed for Marriott Reward Points. Those MRP's can be used to book Marriott hotel brands. This is generally not a good idea but I have done it twice when I really didn't have any other options and I didn't want to rent my unit privately.

If it is just the 2 of us going on vacation, I do like the Caribbean inclusive packages. I can trade my 2 BR for a hotel room plus all meals and beverages for a week. That seems like a good deal to me. I wouldn't do it for a room only, however. It's a nice change every few years.

If you're asking " Can you book a Marriott TS via the Marriott Hotel website?" The answer is yes. Marriott has a small number of rooms at most of their TSs which they rent out by the night via Marriott Hotels.

If you're asking can I give my TS to marriott and get hotel points for hotel stays then YES if you either bought direct from Marriott or joined the TS points program.
