Any Chance of Changing Getaway Date?

Hi Everyone!

I purchased a Getaway for my nephew to Marriott Harbor Lake for April 29th. He found out this week his dauughter is making her First Communion. Has anyone ever changed the date of a Getaway, did a retrade with a Getaway or just changed the dates for the weekend entry day (Sunday to Friday).
Let me kow if you have ever been successful.

I am guessing that the date to the getaway week is Sunday, April 29-May 6th right? They can check in the following day, Monday, April 30th, as long as they let Marriott Harbour Lake know. The getaway week does not get extended beyond the 6th, though. Otherwise, getaways are generally non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

But do call Interval to see if anything can be done; don't just take my word for it. You never know what they might say.

I called about my getaway week and they said there is nothing they can do. So now I am stuck with it. :annoyed:

I was once able to upgrade a getaway, didn't change the date though. I called II and asked if I could upgrade to a 2BR from a studio. The price for the 2BR was only about $75 more than I paid for the studio. The very nice II rep permitted me to upgrade and pay a full exchange fee. I think this was a one off situation, so YMMV.

Give them a call and see what they will do. Realize however that getaways are non refundable and non changeable. So if they do give some leeway, consider yourself lucky, like I did.

I've been able to change a getaway date and destination, but that said it was for medical reasons and I.I was extremely helpful allowing us to do so outside normal policy !
