another WKV resale price question

A different broker contacted me today, he offered WKV, every other year (Odd) usage, 2BR L/O, platinum season (148,100 SO) for $10,000.
Is this good price? I am not hurry to purchase, my first choice would be WKV 1BR (premium unit), platinum season, but it is not easy to find. If this price is not a good deal, I will keep search for 1BR platinum. Thanks in advance!

YES, I would think so. David can chime in too, I bet. I didn't follow the EOY units but the EY is usually about $20k so this seems fair to me.

One thing to consider is that SOs have to be used that year. So you can't really think of it as 81,000 every year! Katherine

If I have EOY ownership in mandatory resort, do I pay SVN membership "every year" or "every other year"? For HGVC, even if the ownership is EOY, members should pay membership fee every year. I think it is another disadvantage of EOY membership if I pay it annually?

Yes, with Starwood you pay fees annually with an EOY, but it's half as much (with a modest processing fee added), so I wouldn't call it a disadvantage.

If you buy EOY odd - make sure the villa has been reserved for 2009 since the 8-month Owner reservation window for the WKV Platinum season is closing soon.

I'm not sure if yumdrey was asking about the SVN Membership Fee specifically, or all maintenance fees.

My SVV is an EOY ownership. Since it's my second unit, I pay only $33 for the SVN Membership Fee (in addition to the $109 SVN Membership Fee on my first unit, which is an every-year ownership).

But I do pay the full $33 SVN Membership Fee every year, in addition to half of the regular maintenance fees.

Yes, that's what I wanted to know!
For Hilton TS, if the ownership is EOY, the owner pays full $90 membership fee every year (neither $45/year nor $90/EOY). So I thought EOY owners pay "double membership fee" for their usage because they have to pay the full membership fee each year. I considered this when I purchased mine, I thought annual usage is better value (at least save $90 compared to EOY).

That's a good price. EOY would be a good way to get in the system as well and have access to all starwood 2 bedrooms EOY.
