The appointment time was right and for 100 bucks...certificates, why not. we heard about the same thing as last year. No word on the merger.
Difference was, for the points. After the third "deal" for HPP points, to Hyattize my weeks went down to 660 to enroll 2 weeks, in the upper 19.xx ea. Plus Hyatt hotel points, and a 5 day stay at Windward. The price went from about 28K (21.xx) down to 13K to try to close the "deal".

This one went a bit longer than we wanted at 95 minutes. The presentation method for this "fabulous deal" lol, was comparing what we MIGHT spend over the next 5 years on vacations to buying points in thier minds, the same amount. Some how they didn't understand "spent money", gone for ever and future vacation wishes. Now most interesting was the response to what is the value of the points if I had to unload them? Quite honest...there is no market currently for the points. (zero)

Thanks for the update. The most valuable information you got from your 95 minutes of wasted time was the admission that the vaunted Points Program offers a big fat zilch when it comes to resale. And it's easy to see why...as Kal has pointed out elsewhere on this board, you have no deed and no real ownership in anything. What a scam.

It would be fun at the session to have Hyatt open the HPP website and show HPP availability for a specific resort and period (high season). Then have them defend why you should pay $$$$ for HPP.

Well actually the rep did open a page, displayed many different resorts availability...problem I detected...all shoulder seasons, who ski's in August? And not doubt cherry picked the resorts and weeks. My thought, if thats the best available...run.
