I just wanted to introduce myself to all you fellow TUGGERS.

My husband and I are from Chicago and are brand new to this whole TS thing.
Neither one of us have ANY TS experience .... and yes, we paid full price ... but never again (thanks to all the knowledge we will obtain from TUG)
We fell for the "pre-construction" presentation while on vacation in Mexico.

Last year we purchased (2) studios for week #8 (fixed) at Hacienda Encantada in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. This is a beautiful new resort about 10 minutes from downtown Cabo. The resort is only halfway through construction, but just beautiful... I encourage you to check it out. We are members of II. Our (2) units connect and share one balcony and are completely ocean front, and nothing blocks our view of the beautiful Sea of Cortez, and the whales.

We just booked our airfare yesterday for our 2nd stay there in February - and I am getting excited already.

I don't know if we will ever trade our week for something different, since both of us are huge fans of Mexico. We are thinking about renting one of the studios ... just to offset the MF, but we have 7 adult children between the two of us... so who knows what may happen.

Since you might want to exchange via Interval one day, consider joining II and affiliating your Cabo resort week. Then with access to II's getaways you might also find a cheap extra vacation. Also, if you try spacebanking a week 8, it might have surprisingly high trade power (although I'm not sure if you'll get II's bonus wk aka "accomodation certificate" for depositing...but you can call and ask them if you'd get one if you deposit.)

Cabo is great and your resort sounds lovely. Enjoy it, and welcome to TUG! :hi:
