Something has to be going on over at HGVC. First we had the posting on Ocean Oak...then NYC...now this morning I'm looking and seeing nothing available at the Grand Waikikian after June. That place has had oodles of availability for the second half of the year for months. I know there's likely some increase demand with people pushing reservations back, but this seems very implausible.

Could HGVC be hoarding inventory to ensure something is available as others start to cancel (as the COVID-19 disaster lasts longer)?

You can add Grand Islander to the list. Is HGVC holding back inventory because HI Gov wants to slow mainland tourists?

LA County is putting beds in all the Recreation Centers for the homeless to help stop the Covid-19 spread.

Maybe HGV doesn't want to show empty beds, the Gov of Hawaii might get ideas.

The strange thing is they're showing PLENTY of availability all around (in Hawaii) for the next two months. It literally starts early-June for the Grand Waikikian.
