So this is the latest from MVC for my weeks booking in Aruba

“You will receive an Interval International week that will be deposited into your Interval International account within the next 10 days for future use. The Interval International week will have a reduced exchange rate of $99 and will expire on December 16, 2021. You will be able to check availability up to 120 days prior to your desired arrival date.”

My questions are:

1. What’s the difference between an II week and my original 2 br Aruba Surf Club week booking?

2. If I choose this can I call and lock it off to get two separate weeks?

3. Is there still a $99 fee if I use it for a Marriott location?

Thank you for any help.

The II certificate will have certain restrictions and really mainly be good for leftovers you may see online. It won't have anywhere close to the booking/trading ability as your Aruba 2BR

2. If I choose this can I call and lock it off to get two separate weeks?
You need to tell them to lock it off before they put the II deposit in your II account. Once it is there, it is too late to lock it off.

3. Is there still a $99 fee if I use it for a Marriott location?
Yes, the fee applies even in a corporate enrolled DC account.

Thank you for any help.

But it doesn’t say anything about restrictions on the MVC website! Or is that something i would get surprised with once it gets into II?

I deposited a May week at the Marriott Maui Ocean Club this morning. I was told no restrictions other than the 120 days from check-in date and the December 2021 expiration. I've never used II or traded so I have no idea how it works, but that's what they told me.

So maybe just like a regular deposit but with the 120 day restriction??

Actually I think even more generous. I'm not sure but I think a deposit 60-15 days before check-in is normally subject to a 60-day reservation, not 120.

That is correct - an II deposit 59-14 days ahead of reservation is called a late deposit and limits you to exchanging 60 days in advance,
This MVC deposit lets you exchange 120 days ahead.
Others have suggested there are location restriction associated with the MVC deposit.
