I got several emails in response to my Craiglist ad, which go like this
"Hi, just responding to your ad on craigslist. I represent a company that may want to buy or rent out your timeshare. Please click on the web link at the bottom, fill in your details on the page and someone will contact you shortly. Known as the Timeshare retail Marketplace, many timeshare owners are finding this an easy, fast and profitable new way to sell or rent their timeshare properties. Kind Regards. James."

Is this another scam? Am upfront fee outfit? A postcard company? I didn't want to bother responding, but I am curious if anyone here had any dealings with this scheme?

I received the same reply to each of several timeshare rental ads which I posted on Craigslist on behalf of family members. I can't tell you any more about the originator, except that he used a non-descript gmail address (in my case, anyhow). I promptly hit the "delete" button on the second two "replies" after reading the first vague, generic, uninformative response. I could easily smell the foul "upfront fee" aromas emanating forth from my computer monitor...

Any entity "shotgunning" out replies / inquiries so indiscriminately to every ad they can find can't possibly be of any use, value, or credibility (in my personal opinion, anyhow).

I got the same email on a couple different CL rental listings. I thought it was just a post card company or Timeshares Only who wanted an upfront fee and just ignored it.

Just hit the delete buttons on mine that were received...

....I agree, it's just a random thing to anyone who has an ad, hoping to pull in the uninformed.
