I looked on line at the DePalm Tour Co. and noticed that they provide transportation from the Airport to your Resort (round trip). Has anyone used this service? Do you recommend that we use them to get to the Casa Del Mar Beach Resort? or is there a better source of getting there? Would we have to ride to everyone's resort before we get to ours knowing that others will be on this bus? Will it take a lot of time to get to where we are going? We do intend to rent a car but only want to do so for a day or two. Thanks for any help.

Why not a cab? I have never taken the bus but I imagine it stops a lot of places. Casa del Mar is one of the first hotels on the beach so it should not bee too long a ride. We stayed there ina two bedroom OF unit last year and loved it. An older resort but very nice. a lovely beach, too! They have a nice breakfast buffet in the morning. Down the beach to the right is a great outdoor lunch place- not sure which hotel runs it- but they had great fish sandwiches there! Have fun!

cab is $25 to the high rise area - this is low rise, so should be less - you can figure out your best best.....I always take a cab.

We took the DePalm bus transfer once as it was included in the travel package we booked. Unfortunately since we were staying at the Marriott, we were the last stop. Transportation was fine, but it took around an hour to get to out hotel once we left the airport. Once we land, we just want to get our vacation started! :) Taxis are so simple and reasonably priced. Fares are fixed. There is a listing on the web to give you an idea of the price: http://taxiaruba.com/new/farelist.html. From the airport to Casa del Mar is $17. This price is for everyone in the taxi, not per person. Keep in mind, I think the most people you can put in to a taxi is 5. Enjoy your vacation!

Aruba question

I agree, take the cab. Once you're at the resort, you can take a cab or the bus from there. Renting a car is convenient. You can rent right at the resort.
You're going to love the Casa del Mar. Wednesday night is rib night at Matthew's. Well worth it. Enjoy.
