That's great. I had to check the definition of 'Kupuna' Google doesn't translate Hawaiian. Who knew? Turns out 'Kupuna' are 'honored elders'. In case you didn't know.

The formal Google definition may be "honored elders", however, in reality anyone who is an Elder is called a Kapuana. Since the Hawaiians have respect for Elders which may not be the case in other parts of the United States, in Hawaii "honored elder" is redundant but other places it is needed to show a level of respect.
