Has anyone else gotten this game? My ten year old and I bought it for our birthdays (which are two days apart) and I have to say that I am enjoying it as much as she is! A new feature of this game for the Wii is that you can visit other people's towns if you have their friend codes as the Wii is hooked up to the internet.

Just wanted to see if any TUGgers (or their kids) are playing this!

Will be soon....DD requested Animal Crossing-City Folk for Christmas. Is that the one you are playing?

Yes, and we are both having so much fun with it! My daughter met a little boy from the UK and could hear him talking to her over Wii Speak. We don't have the Wii Speak component yet but will soon.

Funny Story...DD has been playing pretty much non stop since receiving the game. She is obsessed with getting her hairstyle changed. Apparently, you can only do this once a day-so she advances the date on the game and can get her hair done again. Well, she had reached 12/31 and went to change it to 1/1 and used 2008 instead of 2009. The game thought she had been gone for a year. She had bugs in her house-had to stomp them away (and if you knew my kids paranoia about bugs-you would find this funny) her garden died and she had weeds everywhere. The animals said they had sent a search party out looking for her. She lost her fishing pole and her fruit trees died. She did not find this funny at all-but I did.

Moral of the story...don't mess with Mother Nature or the future.
