Android - offline navigation?

I was wondering what good options there are for offline navigation on Android. I know there's the ability to cache Google maps, but my understanding is that only a small area (10mi radius, IIRC) can be cached at one time. That won't work for my purposes.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Jim,

Need to know more about what you're trying to accomplish.

When I use Navigation for an extended period, I connect my device via my car charger. Something tells me that's not what you're talking about - so I'll wait to hear more.

Richard,

I'm inquiring about an Android navigation app that can be used when offline (i.e. out of cell range). For this to work, the app needs to be able to use map data stored on the device itself, instead of map data pulled off of a network (which is more typical).

There are numerous Android navigation apps, but I would like to know about ones that work well offline.
