The eager beavers over on Disboards do all sorts of useful things. One of which is create inventory charts for the DVC resorts like the one attached that show you how many of each room type exist at each resort. I know Lagoon tower is more difficult to book because of its proximity to the beach and low point costs but I don't want to 'plan' on getting say a Grand Waikikian 2 BR Premier if there are all of twenty of them in the tower. And so...I was wondering if anyone here know of such a chart for HGVC's Hawaiian resorts...or even if the raw data existed outside of HGVC's Public Offering Statements. TIA...Again.

I only have the number of rooms of each type for a couple of the resorts (Sunrise and Valdoro).

On the Disney front, if you want a much more pleasant experience than the Disboards (where you can also find this same information and much friendlier people), you may want to try www.mouseowners. com.

In fact, I had just developed a spreadsheet to do an analysis of a year-over-year points and season change. To do this, I needed exactly the above information...and there it was.

Cheers.

Perhaps look at the existing sticky thread at the top of this forum?
Thank you very much for the pointer. alwysonvac did post the overall number of units at each location (from HGVC's 10-K). And while I must confess I didn't look at the posts on every resort, for the most part what I found was 'these are the unit types' (with floorplans and photos) and the overall number of units built.

I've been 'on' both since I bought DVC over a decade ago...but am not a frequent visitor to either. And I liken finding information on the Disboards to putting a firehose to my mouth to get a drink of water.

But both websites are staggeringly informative because the true Disney folk are a different breed. Like the guy who created and continuously maintains a month by month table of the availability of each room type at every resort. Or the one who runs the daily Rise of the Resistance chart showing how many minutes/seconds it took to 'sell out' of boarding groups and backup groups, how many groups got in, how many were deferred to the next day, what time HS opened, what time HS let people into the park, etc.

But I have gone for months and indeed years without looking at the 'boards...and so I have not experienced the unpleasantness of which you spoke.

But when something happens that I care about - like Disney breaking back to back reservations when they kept trying fix the FP cancelled reservation problem - I go on that thread to see the day by day status. And ignore pretty much everything else.
