Anatara Vacation Club Rebranding to Minor Vacation Club

That's a rather boring rebranding, hopefully it sits better with their target market than it might in Europe.

I was unfamiliar with them so I looked them up. Here are the locations of the Club Resorts (available through II) according to google:

Thailand: Bangkok (Riverside), Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Khao Lak, Koh Samui, and Phuket.
Indonesia: Bali (Legian and Seminyak).
New Zealand: Queenstown.
United Arab Emirates: Dubai

So they are alligning the name with the name of the hotel company. The problem is the hotel company doesn't look like it even has any properties under the Minor brand. According to Wikipedia, here are the brands.
  • Anantara Hotels & Resorts
  • Avani Hotels & Resorts
  • Elewana Collection
  • Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites
  • NH Hotels
  • NH Collection
  • nhow Hotels
  • Tivoli Hotels & Resorts
Do people even know what Minor Hotels is? Do they have any association with that brand? It would seem that using Anantara aligns with one of their top luxury hotel brands and perhaps be most recognizable. Perhaps "Minor" means something different overseas than what we often associate it with in the USA.

I've never heard of any of this so...

so really its just a minor change lol.

Remember way back when Anantara was a HGV affiliate?
