I charged our club dues ($219) to the Surpass card on 10/6. It appears as "HILTON GV WKL HOA HIWAIKOLOA HI". $50 credit showed up on 10/10.
Same here. Used Surpass $50 and Hilton Business for $60. Recieved both credits.

If I recall correctly, the Surpass & Hilton Business AMEX benefits are linked to a Hilton spend rather than limited to the Hilton Resort list.

I paid maintenance fees at Elara on 10/8 with my Aspire and the resort credit came on 10/12. Last year they didn't automatically come and I had to wait 8 weeks and then talk to customer service. I'm happy that they came off automatically this year.
Did the charge show up as HILTON LV52 COND HOAORLANDO FL?
Payment via HGV Website or phone? Odd yours posted so quick and I'm still waiting.
Wonder if we can use a screenshot of yours and contest with CSR if all things same.

My credit for Elara MF showed up online today, with a date of Oct 18th.

I am not certain, but it it seems like many of the Amex credits post like they are linked to calendar dates, than X days after a charge... In any event I received the $200 Resort Credit from the Aspire for my Elara MF, and $50 Surpass credit for paying my club dues.

Yes, it showed the same as yours. This is the first time that we got the credit without chatting online with customer service. They have given it to us eventually, but I think we had to wait 8 weeks. We paid our maintenance fee payment on the HGV website.

Are you talking about the $200 resort credit? I don't think Maui Bay Villa are in the list. Though it should work for the quarterly Surpass credit

use the chat feature on your card. That is what I do when I don't see the credit. IMO, a PITA to make these cards work.

wondering if someone can reality check me here

we own a his and hers Aspire and canceled her Chase Sapphire Reserve this fall when her AF came up. I still have a CSR which is my daily card.

thinking of adding a his and hers surpass for SUB x2 and 2 additional FNC with $15k x 2 annual spending.

This would give us 4 FNCs per year for $30k in spending.

The rest of our daily spend (not Hilton expenses) would continue to go on his CSR. However we spend enough I could also put $30k on one of our Aspires if that is worth it - that's 5 FNCs, if we can really use that many.

is this reasonable?

don't you have to spend $30K/card to get the 1 extra FN? So you end up with 4 FNCs after spending $60K on the Aspires?
(and I constantly miss the surpass vs aspire nomenclature even when it is righ tin front of me)

$15k for the surpass, 1 free with aspire and then the $30k/$60k another one

This is what we do. We have his and her Aspire, I have a Surpass, and our son has a Surpass. We use all for for MF credits so $1200 and then the FNC we will have 4 FNC with the 2 from aspire, 1 from surpass, and another from an aspire spend.

Plus add in the other perks

MFs for all quarters. You can call CS to pay in off quarters or buy a Hilton gift card and then use it later for MFs when the bill is in the account

I do not recommend the gift card for MF payments. AMEX denied payment and locked the gift card because HGVC does not require a CVC code.

Got a terrible CSR phone tree and ended up asking for a refund which was a hassle

If FNC are what you are after, do what I do. I have two Aspires and wife has two Aspires for a total of four Aspires. That way we get four FNC plus two from business HH card that used to give a FNC for $15K spend each(no longer as of this year). That way we got 6 FNC for $30k spend.

If you are going to spend the $30K, you can get another FNC from Aspire, making it 5 FNC instead of 4 FNC for same $30K spend. Except no SUb for Surpass Card.

You could get the Surpass and then one year later upgrade to the Aspire. You might want to check about the SUB for Surpass while already having Aspire card. I read somewhere that Amex has denied the SUB for Surpass applicants. If you already have Aspire, you do not qualify for the SUB by getting the lower tier Surpass. You have to start from the lower card and get each SUB. If you start with Aspire, there is no SUB for getting a lower tier card even though you have never gotten that card.

You can add the Surpass though, since it is cheaper then the Aspire and gets a FNC for $15k

We will have 4 FNC for next year between two Aspires and a Surpass.

We still have the aspire for our Hilton spend but I just signed up for the Amex platinum card. Thought process is I have the timeshare for my stays and can use the platinum to get miles to pay for some of the flights. What are you guys doing for the flights?
