I tried to call American (after they cancelled one of my flights for an upcoming trip) at 10am yesterday…the wait time was over 4 hours. I used the automated system to ask for a call back, which didn’t happen until 2 am! Crazy!

This may explain the oddities with our Southwest Air flight this week. We were stuck waiting for crew to fly in, and they brought in-fill staff to load the plane and do the safety briefing. Then we sat there for about an hour on the plane. Man, plane seats keep getting more and more uncomfortable all the time. Maybe it's because I haven't been in them in a couple of years now, but wow, I don't wanna fly anymore.

My flight tomorrow was canceled connecting through Dallas. Rebooked to a later flight connecting through Phoenix. Hopefully this one sticks.

Why schedule all these flights when they knew they hag a shortage of Crew?

Covid taught us that they don't just schedule the flights. That have to operate so many to maintain level with aviation requirements. So the flights were already scheduled. I'm sure they were hoping they would have a solution by flight time. They get penalized for cancelling I believe.

Maybe can't rehire ppl quickly enough to keep up with demand.
