Will be sitting with my grand children next weekend and would love movie suggestions that are available on Amazon Prime that both boys and girls ages 2- 6 would enjoy for a movie night with their grandparents.
Thanks:)!

I would recommend Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure. My daughter (now 20!) loved these movies when she was that age.

Spoiler alert:

In the very first movie, Little Foot's mother dies. I asked my daughter (age 2 or 3) if it upset her that his mother dies and her reply was "Mom, it's just a movie"

Have fun with those little kiddos!

Why don't you splurge on a Red Box movie instead??? Just curious why you wouldn't want a more recent movie for the special occasion. :)

Just my opinion, but kids already watch too much TV. I'd do a game night with personal interaction with grandma and grandpa, instead - that quality time will be remembered long after they forget the movie.

It would be fun to buy 2 new children's games which you can play that night, and then send home with them - or give to them to "keep at grandmas" for future game nights.

Thanks so much for the recommendations. We do play games, swim, boat, ride golfcart etc. They are so worn out by bedtime their special treat is popcorn and a movie:)! It is something they look forward to.

Big Hero Six is a great movie for both boys and girls. Part of the storyline involved death so be prepared for that. And some scenes are kind of scary (might be too much for some 2-year-olds).

Home is super cute. That movie involves losing (and then finding) mom so it's possible it might make some of them sad if they miss Mommy. But there aren't super scary scenes and it's a really cute story.

Frozen is still popular. Many boys like it too so don't think it's just for girls. My son loves the movie.

Other options that are less brand new:
Wall E
Monsters Inc
Toy Story
Finding Nemo
Cars
Rio

Up is excellent for that age too. Although there's a death also...

How about some ol' Disney stuff -- 101 Dalmatians, Aristocats, or Jungle Book.

My kids love Paddington. But it's not animated so I don't know how that will work with the 2 year old.

We don't ever watch Amazon Prime but see Paddington is offered and that was an excellent movie. They also have Stuart Little too. My 8 yo loves Netflix for kids and Youtube kids app. I've been trying to think of something that BOTH a 6 and 2 year old would enjoy. Agree that Disney classics are great choice to appeal to the grandparents and little ones. The Chipmunk movies are fun but don't see any on Prime. My daughter and her friend enjoy Shaun The Sheep on Youtube and I took her to the theater to see the movie and we both laughed. Redbox has the Home animated movie but I haven't seen it yet.

Since you specifically asked about movies on Amazon Prime I want to share this movie my family just watched together last night that's on Amazon Prime: Song of the Sea. It's an animated film about a brother and sister who go on an adventure. It was absolutely mesmerizing. May not be suitable for the youngest (just depends) but it's worth a look.
