The odds of being struck by lightning are better, but I'm in for a nickel.

With $5000 worth of tickets you will have a better chance than all but a few.

I hope the winner doesn't have a facebook. Imagine all the long lost, never heard about before, relatives that will be hunting the winner down until they day they die. Heck, even after, I am sure some will go after their estate.

Gotta love people. Not.

I have child support, i mean i'd love to win the money....But 17% off the 'PRE-TAXED' amount would just about kill me!

What is 17% of 640 million

I haven't bought lottery tickets in several years. Just gave up on it but did buy 5 couple nights ago just for the heck of it. I will be happy even if I get 4 of the numbers right for 250K if that's what it is. Good Luck to all.

I suppose I'll be the sole voice of reason. I won't buy any tickets. I could easily drive to the state line with all the other wannabee millionaires. But that would be a waste of gas, a waste of time, and a waste of a dollar.

I just wish my state would institute a lottery. I enjoy letting other people pay my taxes for me. Casino gambling already pays most of my state taxes. Institute a lottery and I might not have to pay anything at all.

Just googled it, and it appears that non-citizens can also win! :cheer: A chance at $640 million jackpot might be worth the drive down to Blaine to purchase a ticket. Why don't they make it easy on everyone and let you buy them online?

I had a customer that won the Washington State Lottery. He hired an attorney and financial planner then secretly went to collect his win. Haven't seen him since.

We have been playing our lucky magic numbers every drawing. We have been getting a number or 2 hit here and there. Need them all tonight.....:D

You can buy them online. I have a subscription for 50 weeks. You just choose what you want and put in your credit card.

Good luck with that. Too bad you'll miss out on Mega Millions.

With the odds at 167,000,000 to 1, you could buy every possible ticket. but could be stuck as you end up sharing the price with 5 other people.

I know that this buy every ticket method has happened in the past, but I have not heard of anyone trying this anymore. I wonder if they changed the laws that prevents a licensed selling from doing this.

but hey I had to buy my $5 worth.

You are so greedy, Scoop! ;)
You already have gambling, brothels, Donnie and Marie and lots and lots and lots of twinkly lights. Now you want a lottery, too?
