I check in to Stormy Point in a little over week. Picking my mom (88 yrs old) up from my sister's house in suburban St. Louis, and then driving to Branson the next day. I haven't been to Branson in almost 40 years. Trips there are actually what prompted me to lean to timeshares for vacationing....my penny-pinching dad used to rent HORRID cottages in Rockaway Beach because they had kitchenettes and were cheap. I swore I would NEVER stay in one of those awful places. And I haven't! Anyhow, I'll take Mom to a show I guess....but I can't afford to be doing that every single evening. Any shows you love there? I don't think we'll do Silver Dollar City, because she's not into rides at her age. Walking is okay, but not long distances. Maybe a trip to School of the Ozarks. That used to be something I enjoyed. Any suggestions? We don't need to be out doing something every single day. Just a few well-chosen things will keep us happy.
I've gone to Branson the last two years for a week. Once with a church group and it was totally planned and last year I invited 3 friends (early 80's) and we stayed at the extremely nice French Quarter. I think a show she would really enjoy is Broadway to Buble by George Dyer. But just looked and he is not there during your visit time. (Adding for a reference for others at this point). David was very nice but is expensive. The Haywood's were a very talented musical family. I didn't get excited about SIX. Clay Cooper is excellent and I have gone the last 2 years to see him and his group.
We booked directly with the venue. I had read and also told by a good friend of mine who booked the shows for local people groups visiting from our area, to be aware of the off site booking places. Apparently they don't have access to the best seats and can sell at lower prices. This thought needs to be checked out more thoroughly.
The Titanic Museum is very interesting, but there is walking inside. They have done a lot of research.
The Table Rock area has some ver interesting views in and around Branson.

College of the Ozarks is a must see. We had lunch there last year at the Keeter Center and it was excellent, but a bit pricey. I would recommend you might splurge for LUNCH there. You might need reservations. We made the reservations at the desk and then we toured the grounds.

Does your mother have a walker with a seat? That would make it so much easier for her. Yeah, I know they resist, but.......
Not too far away in Eureka Springs, there is Thorncrown Chapel which is an architectural delight.

IT is a wedding venue, so check first before driving over to see their schedule for visitors. Sunday worship services are open. Driving through Eureka Springs is nice, but easy to get lost!!!

https://www.christoftheozarks.org/, is interesting and can be visited without visiting the Passion Play grounds. The Passion Play grounds, etc can be an entire day adventure which might be a challenging walking day for your mother.
We really enjoyed taking a day a day trip to Bentonville. Crystal Bridges museum is very nice,
https://crystalbridges.org/ has a lot of different things and is free. Didn't wee it all. There is a Frank Lloyd Wright house that they removed from the original location and rebuilt here. Don't miss the Walmart museum downtown. (I haven't seen the new renovation but saw the original and the substitute one which was well done. The new one opened last year.

There is so much to do in the area. A few years ago I took my then 88 year old friend to Branson for a week (she had never been there). We saw only one show and the rest was everything else!!! You can be as busy as you want to be. You can see as much as you want to see.
