We have never stayed at all inclusive resorts, but observed some near beaches in Mexico and Dominican Republic.
Do you think they will survive with small modifications or they will change dramatically to accommodate nowadays cautious travelers demand?

Some will not make it but it's no different than any other resort. Actually, I would think an all inclusive resort would be doing better right now as everything you need is at the resort and there's no need to leave. Making it more possible to limit interactions with others.

We love all-inclusives and were sad to have to cancel a trip to the Hard Rock Los Cabos scheduled for late March. The Cancun area is supposed to reopen on June 8 I believe, and for Palace and Hard Rocks they are saying that when they reopen there will be extra cleaning efforts and the only real reduction in services would be no buffets and no swim-up bars open. I can report that I stayed at The Grand at Moon Palace in early March when things were just starting to get alarming here in the US, and I was really amazed and reassured by the care they were taking at the resort. Extra employees were all over the place wiping down surfaces - as an example, in one hallway there was a line of metal tree sculptures, and every time I passed that hallway there was an employee in there wiping off each and every leaf on every tree! I can't wait to go back but have no time in my schedule to do it this year. If I did I would sure be jumping on the RCI deal offering BOGO at some of the Hard Rocks.

Been to many all inclusive resorts all over the Caribbean and Mexico. They can be a great deal. The reviews speak to the good and bad. I recommend using at least a 4 star rating. If you are looking for a do nothing or everything planned (activities, entertainment) they definitely are for you.
Personally I grew tired of the all-in crowds...mostly because I wanted off of the resorts more to see the country and the people. I probably will return to an all-in winter 2021 but only because it is actually cheaper than fight only option to the same destination.
