Alaska Air miles bonus ??

Alaska Air is currently running a promo where is you buy miles, they will give you extra bonus miles.

They offered me a 50% bonus ( I buy 25K miles but get 25K plus a 12.5 K bonus for $682) BUT they will only give my DW a 40% bonus on the same mileage purchase. WHAT??

That's odd. Was it a next day deal ? I've seen award flights change in the same day so it doesn't surprise me.

Bill, are your accounts somehow connected? And is the sale a one-time purchase, or can you do it more than once? Are they maybe seeing your wife's account as a second try against your account? (IP address, or something?)

EDIT: I went to the Alaska site, and under Buy Miles I see these options. When I pick 50% bonus, I see what you saw (price was $5 higher for me, but whatever.) Notice the middle tab on the screen is 40% Bonus options. Did she maybe click the wrong tab?
