*AI's* - When Are They Worth It - And When To Pass?

I'm planning a vacation for my wife and I, and we may invite one guest, and I am looking at the AIs at some of the resorts and it seems for a small group it may be more value than we are capable of consuming.

I am curious to know what factors do you considering when choosing to go with an AI or pass?

I wrote about my AI experience last August at the Pueblo Bonito Rose in Cabo in this thread. I loved it and would do it again.

Thanks Karen. The $79 per day rate seems like good value. My concern is some of the AIs in Mexico or the Caribbean that can be as high at $200 - $400 per day per person. Im thinking if I end up paying $2k-$3k for AI I just my wife and I may not be able to consume that much value. What are your thoughts on the higher priced AIs?

I haven't ever gone to one of the higher-priced places and I don't think I would. That's too rich for me!
