Per this WaPo article, Marriott is now using AI to assign rooms & to decide which loyalty members get upgrades...
DL is using AI to dynamically price 20% of flights in US this year, up from 3% last year...
Hertz using AI scanners to assess damage: lots of folks were very upset re this.
Thoughts?

Personally I dislike dynamic pricing, but I see it frequently. I've noticed it price me right out of something I'm trying to plan. I imagine it makes more money though.

Airlines, Hotels, Cruises, etc., etc. have been using dynamic pricing for years
With the increased Computational Power, better use of prior data, better algorithms,
They will extract every last penny of pricing power they can
It is just a matter of time
My Bet
They will spend more money on this investment than they will on infrastructure software
The Corporate managers can show better ROI with pricing software investments
Not sure how they calculate a cost of a flight stoppage like United had in the last couple of days

I saw something the other day where they were trying to use AI to determine if people were smoking in their room.
