I guess celebrities should not be expected to age.

Some of these pictures are from when they were very, very young compared to now. Thirty plus years later, they just don't look the same. Really?

"....is still performing today, but looks drastically different from his early days." No joke; really? Aging happens.

Sun damage, plastic surgery, living and aging, etc.

Kind of like when someone at work tells me, "you look tired" and I'm not. Doggone, folks, I started working here 30+ years ago. Please allow me to age. It's gonna happen.

No one is going to look as young and fresh as they did 30+ years ago.

I've seen some of those celebs recently, and most of them still look good for their age. We all have our off days and hope no ones snapping a picture.

I'm glad I'm not a celebrity.

Carrie Fisher has written several memoirs. In one of them, she says something to the effect of, "When I signed up to play Princess Leia, I didn't realize I was signing a contract with the public to look the same for the rest of my life."

One might argue that celebrities have chosen to be famous, but that isn't always the case. Michael Jackson had terrible problems when he reached puberty and his features changed and he developed bad acne. It's obvious that he never recovered from the criticism of his looks, and it's not like he really had a choice about being a child star.

Most celebrities are quite young when they become famous. Many are legally adults, but quite a few are younger than 18. Even the ones who are over 18 are often too young to understand that the entertainment industry will probably throw them away as soon as they are no longer young and beautiful. :(

Didn't look at the link.

For the life of me, I don't understand the general public's fascination with celebrities. Never did. Never will. Meanwhile, we have heroes returning from the battle field with their arms and legs blown off getting no attention in the least.

A God damned shame.

It looks to me as though "too much plastic surgery" is listed (and is) the culprit in most cases. Those who have simply aged look considerably better than those who were pulled tight too many times.

Lessons learned makeup can turn an ugly frog into a beautiful prince or princess. But the aging process even with the best makeup cannot hide all the wrinkles and all the exposure to sun & drugs.

Old age is not for sissies

I turned 69 this month and although I think I look as good (or bad) as I did 50 years ago, I do look different, There's the extra 30 pounds in all the wrong places, and a turkey neck, and the new knee, and the "age" spots that the dermatologist froze off my face yesterday (she called them "possibly" cancer) You should see me today, I look like a was in a bar fight

What Ron said. We all age- if we're lucky enough. I had my 50th high school reunion last month. Man, I didn't go to school with all those OLD folks! The place was full of flab and those that had hair were gray. We all had our 50 y.o. yearbook photos on our nametags. My DW said she'd never have recognized me from my old picture.

Age, Sun, gravity, and just living all have their effects. Live with it.

I wonder how long it took for them to dig up the worst pictures possible. The media can be so cruel.

It seems to me that they chose the worst pictures they could find of these people and compared them with the absolute best photos of their younger selves.

Anyway, they are human beings with real lives (well-somewhat real)- not plastic models as much as people seems to think of them as perfect.

We all age and we see it in our own pictures and mirrors. That's the way it is.

It's all about perspective.

Why should celebs age any better than the rest of us? If I had unlimited money to pay for handlers to do everything stressful in my life, personal trainers and makeup artists and designer clothing makers to dress me and primp my looks and whatever, even I could be a totally handsome guy. But take away all that stuff, and you're left with the real-life person underneath all the facade.

Rick Nelson wrote his song "Garden Party" as a response to the Boos and catcalls he received from fans at Madison Square Garden in the 1970s when he showed up to perform in a Rock 'n Roll Reunion concert. The fans were angry that "Little Ricky Nelson" had long hair and a mustache, and he "didn't look the same" as the teen idol he had been in the 1950s.

I'd hope those celebs who haven't aged well are happy with who they are on the inside. The rest changes without notice.

We all change as we get older, they make a living by being in the public eye and people can be so mean! Most of us would not like to be photographed running out to the grocery store, and some celebrities purposely go out without make up hoping not to be recognized! Live and let live!

Yes! We all changes will age. Can anyone remember when we had hair on our head, or when we were skinny, or when we could play baseball, basketball, or football with no worry of aches and pain the next hour or day.

I'm with you. ;)

Why what a "celebrity" says or thinks is considered anymore interesting what a man or woman on the street says escapes me as well. Their entertainment value in acting or sports is also grossly over paid but I do enjoy watching good acting. However, I have come to ignoring professional sports.;)

Cheers

This looks like one of those websites that is searching for the worst, most unflattering, pictures they can find.
