Hello and Tuggettes, I wanted to follow up with a big Thank You to the folks who gave me great advice in my on and off trip planning to Poland. Our little group finally signed on with Gate 1 Travel. It could not have gone better. The money exchanging there was easy. I don't log on often but appreciate the assist and info provided to me when I do. Fingers crossed for Croatia in May. Happy Travels. Kathleen

Poland and Croatia are both great countries to visit, although Croatia has gotten more expensive since it changed to the euro instead of the kuna..

You'll love Croatia. I went there in May of last year and had a great time.

@Kathleen It depends since May is a transition from spring to summer. I was there from late May to early June and encountered a mix of sunny and cloudy weather. It was cooler than I expected, and I wore summer clothes only about half the time (about 3-4 out of 8 days). As your trip gets closer, you'll want to check the forecast because the weather could be anywhere from cool and cloudy/rainy to hot and sunny. As a guide, May averages for Dubrovnik are high/low 73/62 with about 2.5 inches of rain.

I am looking at a small ship cruise. The videos are amazing. At least the expenses are somewhat prepaid.
Most of Croatia's best sites are along the coast, so that would probably be a good option.

Years ago we did a summer timeshare exchange through DAE to a resort on the beach just outside Split. There is a large ferry that runs down the coast in Croatia, and we took it from Split to a historic town whose name escapes me north of Dubrovnik one day and took the bus back. Even by ferry, the scenery on the cruise down the coast was fantastic

Thank you. I actually had booked this trip when the Covid shut everything down. Fortunately I had insurance and was covered. Fingers crossed for this trip. Kathleen
