This is a time to check your home owners insurance for flood coverage. IMO

We bought it for the first time this year. Global warming made us nervous. We do not live in a flood zone, the premium for maximum coverage was not bad.

I feel sorry for them. We have been dealing with insurance woes for years due to the wildfire risks. My next door neighbor was canceled by three companies in about 6 months - they would write the coverage then figure out where he lived (edge of a canyon preserve) then cancel him. I think that we are down to just a handful of insurers who will still cover the risk. It's crazy.
