Just purchased (on resale thanks to TUGBBS) and survived ROFR on 7,000 points at Seaworld through Timeshare Closing Services. Paid cash and provided all paperwork promptly, but unfortunately, sellers haven't returned their paperwork yet and so I'm stalled a bit from getting the transfer started and complete. We're coming up on 276 day reservation window around the middle of March for Christmas week in Hawaii and some other places we might like to try to get this year, and TCS is telling me that assuming sellers get their paperwork back next week, Hilton takes a month or so to complete the transfer. So...bottom line is we're not looking at reservation account access on those 7,000 points until the end of March at the earliest. Questions. Does Hilton really take this long to process the transfer the account? And if so, is there anyway to make a reservation through the current owners that would then transfer to us upon final account transfer. Or, am I just screwed on finding a reservation for this Christmas at one of the Hawaii resorts and should I start thinking about other ideas for the use of 7,000 2020 points? For that matter, is it even possible for a non-home club owner to get a Christmas week reserved in Hawaii at the 276 day mark? This is our first purchase and we're newbies, so any advice on this is helpful. Thanks!
