I am thinking about selling a unit we own on Ebay. The unit is a fixed week and unit. I stopped depositing the unit with any exchange company, but the first available usage is in April 2007. The maintenance fees are due in July 2006. When would be the best time to try to sell the unit? Do I list it a year ahead to give the buyer the option to deposit a year ahead, or do I wait until later?

The Sooner The Better.

Might as well hop right on it & try to make the sale as early as possible.

That way you won't find yourself crowded by the upcoming maintenenace fee due date.

Also, by selling sooner rather than later your prospective purchasers will have adequate time to get their names on the deed, to get the resort records updated, & to work on their own vacation plans once they buy your timeshare.

Good luck.
