Hi All,

Sam and I are going to the Rose Parade next year. I've checked outlets for grandstand seating. It seems that getting the tickets is pretty straight forward. Can anyone recommend a couple of preferred locations to request for seating and parking?

Thanks.

I am having trouble thinking of which hotel it is, maybre Doubletree, it is on Los Robles or Walnut or Euclid. It is in the complex that has McCormick and Scmidt restaurant, which is an excellent restaurant and also California Pizza Complex. If you stayed there you could easily just walk down to Colorado and your closest major cross street would be Los Robles.

Hi Liz,

We are staying at the Doubletree,Montebello Blvd,Rosemead. So, we can just walk to a location on Colorado?

Thanks.

Just funning ya, dear! She's talking about another location, in Pasadena I think.

Thanks,Fern.

The best that I had figured was that it's about 17 miles or so. That's why I'm trying to get parking and tickets at the same time.

Fern's right, I'm talking about the DoubleTree right in Pasadena. I guess I overlooked the part about you staying in Rosemead. I would look at the parade route and see where you want to be and maybe ask the Tournament of Roses people about parking. The parade goes from west to east, ending around Pasadena High School, so you might want to go toward the eastern end, as it is closer to you and gets there later. If you still don't have information, I can ask my brother in law, you was part of the Tournament of Roses for many years.

Hi Liz,

No problem. I appreciate your assistance. I can use mapquest to get to where I'm going. But, I have no idea of how that locale relates to where I need to be in Parade route for the closest parking lot.

I did try asking the ticket folks. They don't seem to know the best/easiest location to sit/park, based on where we're coming from. I have enlarged the map to try to gauge what I should do. I know that we'll have to get there extremely early as everyone else will be doing the same. I know that it's recommended to be there by 7AM.

Thanks for trying to help.

Kathleen
