Adding Hyatt resale, any way to transfer II points to my current Vistana II membership

Hi all, in process of picking up a Hyatt resale. The seller has 3 years banked in II. He is willing to give me the points if I agreed to pick up associated fees. I may have to carry another II membership (I think i will in any case because VSE and Hyatt are not considered merged from II viewpoint). Any possibilities outside of booking actual vacations of getting control of the points?

With Hyatt, points banked in II are actually in EEE, which is an internal Hyatt account attached to the specific contract. Any EEE points are supposed to be transferred by Hyatt on resale to the buyer, together with all the points associated with the contract being transferred. If the seller makes an actual II exchange using those points, then the exchange confirmation stays with the seller.

Yeah, I wouldn't reimburse fees for that far back. Some of those likely expire very soon. Unless the seller books, they'll transfer to you anyways.

Thanks for the wonderful insight. Seems that Hyatt has a somewhat different relationship with it's EE company. Are the any other major differences or benefits/drawbacks?
