We had the opportunity to see Hapa in concert here on the Big Island a few weeks ago. If you have the opportunity, the music is great!
Also, for anyone on the either Oahu or Maui this weekend, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones are playing music from their new Christmas CD. We saw them last night in Kamuela. All I can say is WOW! We have been seeing them live for the past 12 years and the music just gets better and better.
Wow ! Thanks for the input -I feel like I'm in the middle of the good stuff. We bought a HAPA CD yesterday, hitting the slack key concert tonight, and Bela is playing here this Sunday. Does it get much better than this? Now to look for a jam......
I have been a HAPA fan since 1988 and see them every year when they come to San Francisco. They tour regularly, so I too would recommend catching them when they come through your area if you like Hawaiian music and hula (they always bring at least one gorgeous and talented dancer).
