Does anyone know if you can transfer an accomodation certificate for a fee to a family member? If so how much?

Thanks

Definately. I did so with an AC for the Marriott Aruba Ocean Club. It cost me $39.

Regards.

From the AC that I just received today for my Aruba Surf Club 2006 Summer weeks:

"Guest Certificates may be used only by the individual (s) named on the Certificate, are non-transferable, and may not be sold or used for commercial purpose."

bob

Sorry everyone I mixed the copy of the AC with a reservation confirmation request as it came out of my computer. I apologize for the inaccuate post the above information came from the confirmation certificate.

I do not believe the Accomodation Certificate can be transfered, but you can make the reservation in your name and then purchase a Guest Certificate for $39.00 assigning it to whoever you chose.

Clarification

So basically if its a family member we can make a reservation and they can stay? I can strong arm them for the reimbursement. Correct?

Yes, you can get a guest certificate to allow a family member or friend to use the week you reserve.

Officially, you cannot ask for rent or any reimbursement of any of your costs, including the guest certificate, an exchange fee or your maintenance fees. II's membership rules do not permit such payments. However, I'm sure your family members will give you a nice gift on your birthday or some Holiday occasion - just because of the occasion, not because you were so nice to them. :)
