Just a short note to let people know that the tides at Acapulco can be pretty dangerous - particularly around Fiesta Americana (which is a nice hotel though).
While we were walking along the beach back to the hotel, the surf just came in in a sudden rush - we were about 100ft from the water at the time and in seconds, literally, we were over our knees in water and on rocks.
Holding our kids by their hands (2,3 and 4 years old at that time) - fortunately - or they would have been dragged into the undercurrent.
Now I am 6ft and around 200lbs but . . .
It was pretty scary.. . especially with the kids.
Anyone else had that experience there?
(PS the currents in Curacao can be pretty strong too !)
