I was rather disappointed to find out how "valuable" these truly were. We have coworkers going to Orlando the week before Memorial Day. Since we were not going to use the AC and it was going to expire in early August, offered it up to them. When I looked online with it it could of course only see the first four available units for each resort (annoying II website glitch :annoyed: ). However when looking online with another week in regular exchange, I was able to see a 2BR Harbour Lake and a 2BR Royal Palms. I was able to actually see the 2BR Royal Palms with the AC since there were not more than three other units ahead of it in May. The AC couldn't see the Harbour Lake week since there were many other units ahead of it in May.
When I called II to see if I could get the Harbour Lake week I was told that the AC couldn't get that, but it could get the Royal Palms week. I was rather surprised that it could get Royal Palms but not Harbour Lake. I am sure they would have preferred Harbour Lake, but we didn't mention it since it wasn't a possibility. The II rep did put a three hour hold on the Royal Palms week for us and our coworkers were able to get a full week in a 2BR for the AC cost plus the guest cert. This is no jab at Royal Palms, they will have access to the facilities at the World Center, but it is a little futher away from Universal Studios where they will be spending three days vs. just one at WDW.
I was also a little surprised that there were taxes on this since I thought it was like a regular exchange, but I guess that was not the case. At least in Florida.
