Am I understanding this right?

If I combine two RCI Weeks deposits to get more TPU, it says the Travel Window is up to 24 months from date of combining. Does that mean I have to actually complete the travel during that 24 month period, or does it mean I have to have an exchange confirmed by then?

The two weeks I'm thinking of combining currently have travel dates ending at the end of 2014 and beginning of 2015. If I'm reading it right, combining them means I'd have to complete travel by April of 2014. And that seems like I'd be losing several months of travel time.

The expiration date works just like any other deposit. The expiration date is the date by which travel must be begin. I think someone said the system won't even let you combine weeks if the week has a later expiration date than the new combined week. I've played with the system and it certainly let's me select a week with a later date but maybe it kicks it out before the confirmation and payment.

Yes, you could lose travel time. The combined deposit would be good for two full years from the current month regardless of the travel dates for the deposits combined. For instance, a combined deposit done today would be good from TODAY through 30 APRIL 2014.
