Well, to my surprise I snagged Los Suenos this morning, 13 months out, 10-nights, as was desired. Very happy, and the booking process was smooth and easy. So now getting cold feet and wondering if April 28 - May 8 is going to be too late in the year to miss the start of the rainy season? I have seen very good reviews about the property, and also comments on other sites suggesting early May is usually not that rainy, but maybe a little on the hotter side. Anyway fellow Tuggers, any thoughts and suggestions appreciated in advance!

We were there late May into June and when it rained it would come pouring down for a few hours and then clear up. Mornings were normally the sunniest and then clouds would begin to gather from around 11:00AM. It would normally rain in the evenings and some days a couple of hours during the afternoon. You should be fine. The worst thing about the rainy season is the mosquitoes. We missed them but had friends that visited two weeks later and were eaten alive.

Big score, congrats. Yes, it’s the beginning of the rainy season but I would not worry. We have been there 2x times and love it. The first time was Nov (the end of the rainy season) and we did get some rain but nothing to be a cause of concern. Many nights it rained all night and we woke up to a beautiful morning with Macaws flying over our patio. Do it !
